1. Entry into China:
Passengers who are holding valid Chinese Taipei passports will need to provide one of the following travel documents for entry or transit in Mainland China:
(1) A valid "Travel Permit of the People's Republic of China".
(2) A valid "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China". If the Permit is within the valid period but does not have a valid entry/transit endorsement, the traveler shall resubmit the Permit for entry/transit endorsement after arriving in Beijing.
(3) Taiwan ID card - Travelers who do not have a valid "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China" shall submit their Taiwan ID card to apply for the "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China".
2. Transit through China:
(1) In addition to a valid passport, travelers from Taiwan shall hold a valid "Travel Permit of People's Republic of China" or a "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China (without endorsement)".
(2) Taiwan ID card - Travelers who do not have a valid "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China" shall submit their Taiwan ID card to apply for the "Permit for Taiwan Residents to and from Mainland China".
The relevant application forms and other required documents may be submitted in person to the Embassy of People's Republic of China that covers your place of residence.
